I am known artistically as 2hermano. Acrylics are my preferred medium, but I work with aerosol as well. As a painter, I focus my time and energy to be a clear and open channel from that non-physical place where all inspiration comes. I use art to translate that inspiration on to a blank canvas. My approach to image-making negotiates a balance between the spiritual world and the physical one, drawing inspiration from pre-Hispanic concepts and other indigenous/spiritual traditions of my Raramuri (Tarahumara) lineage. In this way, I leave traces of primitive memory which bridge yesterday with today, joining the recent with the past.
