Nicole Alvarez is a graduate of California State University of Long Beach where she received her Bachelor’s in Fine Arts in Drawing and Painting. For the past 5 years, she has utilized her creative skill set to assist in art restoration and mural production for the Long Beach area. As a Mural Conservationist for the City of Long Beach she has learned the importance of the relationship between art and its community, and her goal is to continue to make that connection.
The art she enjoys making focuses on the use of color and light through abstraction in a polychromatic palette. The work Nicole does is intuitive-based and I try to create a sense of space within each piece. The color choices vary to provoke certain emotions; however, most color combinations chosen for this design are meant to create a positive reaction. As a visual artist, she enjoys working with multiple mediums of drawing, painting, and collaging.
