At Sierra Periodontal Group, our doctors and specially trained staff are dedicated to establishing a compassionate, trusting, and professional environment for our patients and to consistently provide excellent patient service by providing the best periodontal care. Our practice continually strives to deliver a higher level of service than is expected of us. We pride ourselves in providing the finest periodontal treatment and dental implant care possible. We base our measure of success on the quality of the relationship we have with our patients. Because our practice is referral based, we value open communication and encourage feedback with referring offices. We understand each referring office and patient has individual needs and we strive to customize our services to meet those needs.

John Lewis MS, DMD
Dr. Lewis received his DMD degree from the University of Pittsburg, School of Dental Medicine. He graduated with honors in 1980 and was selected for a general practice residency program in the U.S. Air Force in which he completed his one year residency at Chanute Air Force Base, Illinois. After practicing general dentistry for six years, three of those in Panama, he was selected for USAF sponsored training in graduate periodontics. In 1988, he received his certificate of training in periodontics from the University of Washington, School of Dentistry in Seattle, Washington. He also has a MS degree in animal physiology and his research background is in bone growth and bone healing. As a registered continuing education provider, Dr. Lewis has lectured extensively throughout his career and has given over sixty formal presentations on a wide variety of subjects. Of particular interest to Dr. Lewis are pre-prosthetic and aesthetic surgical procedures, surgical regeneration techniques, and cases involving drug inducing gingival overgrowth. Dr. Lewis is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Periodontology as well as a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, California Society of Periodontics, and the Sacramento District Dental Society. He is trained and licensed in all phases of periodontology, implantology, and conscious sedation.

Kenneth Frostad DDS, MS
Dr. Kenneth Frostad received his dental degree from Case Western Reserve University and was then selected for a general practice residency with the US Air Force at Travis AFB, CA. He then completed a 3-year Air Force residency in periodontics at the University of Texas and at Wilford Hall, USAF Hospital, San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Frostad began Sierra Periodontal Group in 1983 in Citrus Heights, CA. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the Sacramento District Dental Society, as well as the American Academy of Periodontology and the California Society of Periodontology.
