Asian cuisine plans opening in former Citrus Heights PizzaRev location

Folsom Palace Asian Cuisine & Bar is planning to open a third restaurant in Citrus Heights, taking up a spot recently occupied by a pizza franchise on Sunrise Boulevard.
Folsom Palace currently has locations in Folsom and El Dorado Hills, and the city announced in a newsletter last month that third location is “coming soon” to 5450 Sunrise Blvd., in the Sunrise MarketPlace business improvement district.
A spokesperson for the restaurant could not be reached Thursday, but Kathilynn Carpenter, executive director of the district, confirmed the restaurant is in the permitting stage, with an opening date not yet set. Business incorporation documents were also filed last month for “Folsom Palace Sunrise Inc,” with an address of 5450 Sunrise Blvd, Suite E.
The suite was formerly occupied by PizzaRev, which closed down several months ago. Adjacent restaurants in the same retail center are Dos Coyotes, Nations Giant Hamburgers, and Menchie’s frozen yogurt.
